BIO


I’m interested in the translation of scale, media & audience across disciplines and spaces. From producing to pottery, I see a through-line and an interchangeability between people and materials that I approach with a radical curiosity. 





My wider practice is guided by notions of hospitality and conviviality within the context of my research practice “Spaces of Gathering”: cultural spaces that are multifaceted, multidisciplinary and vibrant, offering shared potentials of belonging and world-building. Whether through food, a studio or a convention centre, I use spaces of gathering as invitations for togetherness and communality, as well as cross-cultural conversation exploring materiality, physicality and presence.














Through process and documentation – the ritual of firing or throwing against the immediacy of mark making and gesture – I make objects constructed from found materials, detritus and collected imagery. My work finds humour and irony in collapsed notions of time: what I made in seconds then fired can exist for millennia; a walk along a burial site leading to a multi-storey car park. My work regurgitates itself; it continually emerges to find place, it departs and begins again.
